A strong prompt is specific without becoming cluttered. It tells the model what matters first, what matters second, and what should stay constrained.

Start with the visual target

Name the subject and the environment in plain language. If the model cannot identify the scene clearly in the first clause, the rest of the prompt has to compensate.

Add photographic intent

Prompt quality improves when you specify point of view, focal length feel, framing and light. Those details change composition more reliably than generic quality adjectives.

Keep modifiers coherent

If the image should feel cinematic, do not also overload it with documentary and hyperreal instructions unless that contradiction is intentional. Consistency matters more than volume.

Iterate from failure modes

When a prompt misses, inspect the failure. Was the subject wrong, the mood wrong, or the camera wrong? Rewrite the weak section instead of replacing everything.
